Statesboro Tree Board
The Statesboro Tree Board was established on January 15, 1991. The Board consists of 9 members appointed by the Mayor and City Council to serve staggered terms of 6 years. The Board is responsible for hearing requests for variances for special use permits in the enforcement of the City of Statesboro Tree Ordinance.
The Statesboro Tree Board meets on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 10:00 A.M.

Statesboro Youth Commission
The City of Statesboro recognizes the immense value of the youth in the community and their potential impact on the future of this nation. Thus, the Statesboro Youth Commission was created with the intent of fostering development through civic engagement, education, leadership, service learning opportunities, job training and development, and empowerment through individualism. The member shall work towards securing a future rooted in an evolving standard for local youth.
The Youth Commission meets on the 3rd Thursday of each Month at 6:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers at City Hall

Statesboro Business Commission
The Statesboro Business Commission will consist of seven members who shall be an authorized representative of an entity holding an occupational tax certificate with the City of Statesboro. The Statesboro Business Commission shall have the authority to prepare studies and reports for the purpose of informing the governing body on policy matters related to the impact of local ordinances and procedures on business opportunities and operations within the municipal limits of the City of Statesboro.

Greener Boro Commission
The Greener Boro Commission consists of nine members appointed by the Statesboro Mayor and City Council. The Greener Boro Commission has the authority to prepare studies, reports, strategies, education efforts and/or programs for the purpose of informing and advising the governing body on policy matters related to best municipal practices for environmental sustainability.

The Statesboro Beautification Commission was established May 1, 1973, and consists of a Chairman, no more than 10 members to be appointed by the Mayor and City Council, and four ex-officio members: one member appointed from the Commissioners of Roads and Revenues of the County, one member from the Board of Education, one member from the City Council, and one member appointed by the President of Georgia Southern University. The members serve staggered 5-year terms. The powers and duties of the Commission are to establish and maintain parks and trees of the City with the goal to beautify the City of Statesboro.
The Statesboro Beautification Commission meets on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 2:30 P.M.
The City of Statesboro is accepting applications for appointments to its Beautification Commission. The Beautification Commission appointment is for a five-year term. The deadline to apply is May 28, 2021, at noon.
Keep Statesboro-Bulloch Beautiful Advisory Board
Keep Statesboro-Bulloch Beautiful (KSBB) strives to educate and empower citizens and businesses with the resources needed to facilitate litter prevention, beautification, and community greening within the City of Statesboro and surrounding areas.
KSBB’s main focus is community beautification, revitalization, and sustainability through the educations and collaboration of local citizens, public, private, and nonprofit entities. KSBB is a Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation affiliate and a Keep America Beautiful affiliate.

Downtown Statesboro Development Authority
The Downtown Statesboro Development Authority (DSDA), established in 1981, consists of 9 members of which 8 members are appointed by the members of the authority to represent the owners of real property or owners of business establishments. The governing authority of the City of Statesboro appoints the remaining one member. The DSDA is empowered with the authority to acquire, improve, sell, lease, and / or mortgage property within the DSDA District for the development and improvement of property in the Downtown Statesboro Development Authority District.
Main Street Statesboro and Downtown Statesboro Development Authority Board of Directors meet the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 8:30 A.M. at the Averitt Arts Center .
The DSDA meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 9:00 AM at the Averitt Arts Center.

The Averitt Center for the Arts
The Averitt Center for the Arts (ACA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of the arts and arts education in Bulloch and surrounding counties. Formed in 2004 as The Statesboro Arts Council, our renaming served to reflect our ever growing reach in the area. After receiving requests from individuals and organizations in surrounding counties, and with participation from individuals throughout Southeast Georgia, we have begun to reach beyond the immediate area of Statesboro with performances and outreach programs that take our education efforts to a broader audience.

Alcohol Advisory Board
The Alcohol Advisory Board has the authority to prepare studies and reports for the purpose of informing the governing body on policy matters related to the licensing and sale of alcoholic beverages within the corporate limits of the City of Statesboro. This is a six member board with each Council member and the Mayor appointing an individual member. The Alcohol Advisory Board will call meetings as needed on the 2nd Monday of the month at 4:00 P.M. in the City Council Chamber located on the second floor of City Hall.
