The Building Inspection Division is responsible for enforcing local zoning regulations and state building codes to ensure the safety and structural integrity of all residential and commercial properties within Statesboro's city limits.  The division reviews construction plans, verifies contractor licensing, and issues all necessary structural, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC permits.  Throughout the construction process, mandatory on-site evaluations are conducted at various project phases to confirm adherence to safety codes.  Once a project passes all final inspections, the Certificate of Occupancy is issued, officially approving the building for safe use.  For a current list of the adopted codes, click here to access the DCA Website.
