The City of Statesboro prohibits outdoor burning without a permit.
There is no charge for a burn permit.
- Burning is limited to yard debris only (i.e., leaves, pine straw, and fallen dead limbs) from 10 AM to 6 PM or at sundown (whichever comes first).

- Fires must be 50 feet from all structures and 10 feet from property lines.
